LAOAG CITY TOUR (Maximum of

MALACANANG OF THE NORTH was the favorite sanctuary
and the official residence of the former President
Ferdinand Marcos. It is also called the “Balay Ti
Amianan” and has a perfect view of the only lake in
the north, the legendary Paoay Lake. It also
contains different collection of paintings from
re-known painters all over the world as well as
furnishings.
PAOAY CHURCH is a majestic and massive structure in
the heart of the historic town of Paoay. The United
Nations has regarded it as a UNESCO World Heritage
site putting the Philippines in line with the
Pyramids of Egypt and Kyoto in Japan. With its
Baroque-gothic-oriental architecture and its ability
to withstand to strongest Earthquake, it was
nicknamed as the “earthquake baroque”. It took the
Augustinian priests almost one century to complete
the church and it’s Bell Tower was utilized as the
observation post by the Katipuneros and G.I’s during
the Spanish and Japanese eras.
BATAC MUSEUM / MARCOS MAUSOLEUM is the former
Whitehouse of the Marcos Family that contains the
voluminous memorabilia of the former President.
SINKING BELL TOWER is the bell tower of the St.
William’s Cathedral that was built during the
Spanish Era. It is truly a panoramic sight and is
enigmatic because it keeps on sinking for unknown
reason. Before, a man on a horseback can easily
enter the said bell tower but right now, even a 2
years old child could hardly get in. So many facts
were considered but never proven why it is sinking.
Some said it was because of the earthquake but it
does not show any trace that was affected by it.
MUSEO ILOCOS was recently opened by Governor
Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos, Jr. It used to be the
Tabacalera House and now it contains the different
relics and remnants of the past coming from the
different towns of Ilocos Norte as well as the
different traditional costumes of each town. Beside
the museum is SARUSAR, the trade center of the City
of Laoag that showcases the different goods and
products of Ilocos Norte.

residence of Juan Luna, from the time he was born
until his death. It consists of the different
collections of his paintings as well as his antique
furnishings. Some of his memorabilia can also be
found here.
HERITAGE PLAZA is a plaza that has different antique
shops and depicts Vigan ancestral homes. You may
also find Abel clothes that are hand women and once
completed carefully with the finest woven textiles
of Mexico and Spain.
AYALA MUSEUM is the Burgos residence in Vigan. It
houses the memorabilia of the martyr priest Fr. Jose
Burgos.
PAGBURNAYAN is the area for pottery making. The
famous Ilocano jar is called “burnay” used for
storing vinegar, the local wine “jusi” and bagoong.
It is decoratively produced in factories using the
pre-historic methods. An array of shapes and colors
of jars can be bought from this area.
CRISOLOGO MUSEUM is located along De los Reyes St.
and houses the memorabilia of the Crisologo and
original furnishing of the a typical Vigan Ancestral
house.
PAGUDPOD TOUR (Maximum of 6
hours)
CAPE BOJEADOR LIGHT HOUSE is the most excellent
tourist attraction as surveyed by local researchers.
This monastery like lighthouse is touted as the
oldest and tallest in Asia. It now serves as signal
to fisherman at nights but it used to warm ships for
the Galleon trade during the Spanish times. The
